Shauna Murray

Shauna Murray is an Associate Professor and core member of the Climate Change Cluster (C3 ) at the University of Technology Sydney, where she leads the Seafood Safety: Marine Algal Biotoxins research program. In this program the group is developing novel genetic tools for the monitoring of biotoxins based on the unique genetic processes of dinoflagellates. Shauna also researches the evolution and ecology of biotoxin production, and the evolution and systematics of the producing organisms. She has previously worked as a researcher at the University of Tokyo, The University of New South Wales and the University of Sydney, and collaborates widely with the aquaculture industry and other organisations.
